The World

A modded Minecraft world generates a lot differently than a vanilla, unmodded one. There are new biomes, new structures, new plants, animals, and ores, and new dimensions, depending on the mods installed. We'll only be covering the mods in this modpack, though.

Biomes
The mod Traverse is installed, which adds a lot of new biomes to the world. Here are some examples:

 Autumnal Woods

Temperate Rainforest

Snowy Coniferous Forest

Glacier

You can use the Nature's Compass to find biomes.

Ores
Mods add a lot of extra ores, You can press 'R' while holding your cursor over them in your inventory to see where in the world they generate.

Thermal Foundation
Thermal foundation adds Copper, Tin, Silver, Lead, Aluminium and Nickel ores. It also adds Oil Sand and Oil Shale which drop Bitumen and a splash of Crude oil, Destabilised Redstone Ore which drops Destabilised Clathrate and a splash of Destabilised Redstone, Energised Netherrack which drops Energised Clathrate and a splash of Energised Glowstone (this flows upwards and gives you Jump Boost, Speed and Glowing) and finally Resonant End Stone drops Resonant Clathrate and a splash of Resonant Ender (which teleports you to a random spot within an 8 block radius).

Tinkers Construct
Tinkers construct adds Cobalt and Ardite ores to the nether, these are used for advanced tools.

Astral Sorcery
Astral Sorcery adds Aquamarine Shale which spawns underwater in beaches.

Actually Additions
Actually Additions adds Black Quartz Ore.
